Backline is thrilled to spotlight Gateway Studios & Production Services as a Backline partner who is championing mental health and wellness in the music industry.
Gateway is a leader in the live production industry, offering state-of-the-art services through Gateway Studios and Gateway Production Services. Gateway Studios, a 300,000-square-foot rehearsal facility, is poised to become the largest in the U.S., designed specifically for large-scale production rehearsals, corporate events, and creative development. Meanwhile, Gateway Production Services provides cutting-edge support for live events of all sizes, whether it’s a one-off event or a national tour, ensuring that each production reaches its full potential with a skilled team of engineers and the latest technology.
Gateway has generously donated $10,000 to support Backline’s mission of connecting music industry professionals with mental health and wellness resources. They are also ensuring that their own employees and the many musicians, production crews, and creatives who use their facilities are aware of Backline’s mental health and wellness resources. Their two-pronged approach to supporting Backline plays a vital role in ensuring our resources are accessible to those who need them most.
One of the ways Gateway has integrated Backline into their work is by sharing information about us in their company newsletter. This means that all of their employees—who work directly within the music industry—have easy access to Backline’s suite of mental health and wellness resources. Additionally, Backline signage can be seen around their production warehouse, which is used by numerous production crews as they prepare for tours. They will also be implementing signage around the Studios once open. By sharing our resources, Gateway ensures that everyone who walks through their doors has access to mental health and wellness support.
“We all know this industry can take a toll—long hours, constant travel, and the pressure to perform and pull off shows night after night. At Gateway, we’re not just about making the show happen, we’re about making sure everyone who’s part of it is taken care of,” said Trey Kerr, CEO of Gateway Studios & Production Services. “Partnering with Backline gives us a chance to support the people out there grinding every day, from musicians to crew members. We want them to know that mental health matters, and by putting Backline’s resources front and center in our spaces, we’re ensuring they’ve got the support they need to keep going strong.”
A Partner in Our Journey
As Backline celebrates its 5th birthday, we reflect on the journey that brought us here. In just five years, we’ve invested over $2 million into the music industry community, provided over 1,600 custom care plans through our Case Management program, and grown our clinical network to over 975 providers nationwide. These milestones have only been possible thanks to the incredible partnerships we’ve found along the way—partners like Gateway, who truly “get it”, and understand the importance of mental health and the need for ongoing support to keep this work going.
Backline is beyond grateful for Gateway’s partnership and their efforts to spread awareness about our services. They exemplify what it means to care for your community, ensuring that the people who make live music happen—both on stage and behind the scenes—have the mental health resources they need.
As we look to the future, we are filled with gratitude for partners like Gateway, whose support helps keep our lights on, our programs running, and our resources available to all who need them. Together, we’re creating a stronger and safer music industry for everyone.
