Backline and Love4Live present their Tour Health + Wellness Workshop partnership; monthly workshops that give artists opportunities to connect with mental health professionals, experts, and their peers to learn about incorporating healthy habits and share mental health and wellness tips while on the road.

Each session will cover a specific topic from 1-2 practitioners within the Backline network. There will also be one member of a touring party at each session to share their experience integrating healthier habits on the road.

 

 

We are excited to announce that we are relaunching our group OFF THE ROAD: Navigating Relationships with Touring Professionals which focuses on supporting partners in this position who are looking for helpful advice, tips on managing difficult feelings, a safe space to share personal experiences, and more. 

Meet your moderators: Pooja Raj, MSW and LeAnne Devol, who are excited to continue building this  community for music industry partners!

Both LeAnne and Pooja have been the partners of touring musicians for over a decade, and they are now navigating the wonderful world of parenting. Pooja has an extensive background in clinical mental health work with over 13 years of experience as a social worker, and LeAnne has an MA in Education, is a mindfulness educator, and registered yoga teacher.

With plenty of friends who have chosen this path, as well as the first hand experience of being married to a touring musician, they have been exposed to the stressors and unique challenges that partners have in the industry.

 

 

Introducing WAVES: Mindful Grieving for The Music Industry! Recognizing a rising occurrence of grief within the music industry, Backline has partnered with Grief Support Network to provide our newest virtual support group for music industry professionals and their family members experiencing grief.

Grief is often stigmatized in American society, and we are often forced to move quickly through our grieving process. Backline and GSN understand that grief is not a step-by-step, time-limited, linear process with a concrete end, but rather is more a process of learning to live with the loss and grow around our grief. In this 75 minute mindful grieving experience, you will be provided space to live in the present, open your heart to feel more, be vulnerable and authentic, transform your pain into love, and to come together in a sacred community to practice being witness to not only our own grief but the grief of others.
