“Mental health means making space for my creative path and staying open to the journey of growth and healing. In this I’ve found purpose, clarity, self-confidence, and an ability to help others. In utilizing my interests in art and music to go deeper into uncovering who I am and how I can grow through any pain I’ve experienced, I’ve been able to gain a sense of groundedness and security within my life. I’ve tried to find the things that really fill me with light, like close friends, journaling, meditation, exercise, and I try to focus on the good.”
